The Stott-Woods

The Stott-Woods

Layout of my grandma's paternal grandparents. This is the photo taken on the occasion of their wedding. They had one son and both died when he was only a small boy. Rather sad, but excellent to have this picture in the collection - from what we know it was taken in Wakefield around the 1870s. Scanned it at 200% original size and it has come up rather well, am pleased with the Matt processing from photobox on it too...

Anyway, all went rather wrong when I attempted a hand-stitched frame for the photo and it was too wonky, so hid that little mistake with a ribbon frame - May Arts mmm...

Daisy D's, Autumn Leaves and 7Gypsies patterned paper.

Hint of 7Gypsies Midnight Forrest colour wash on the torn edges and walnut ink on the background of the photo.

Chalk ink around the journaling which is Carmencita for the Caps and CaslonAnT for the lowercase, then CK Frankfurt for the last bit.

And that's about it! Shame I couldn't use the scan of the back of the photo in the LO, it's really nice and great Victorian ephemera.
