Morning all!
Just popping in to share a floral birthday card I recently made, inspired by a lovely colour palette I saw on Instagram from Christine Middlecamp at Layered Life Story:
And here's what I made:
Stamp: Mama Elephant - Mini Everyday Messages
Dies: Waffle Flower - Cross-Hatch Texture Die, Hero Arts - Infinity Nesting Circle (r), Spellbinders - Essential Floral Reflection (r), Spellbinders - Floral Reflection, The Greetery - Diamond Ribbons, The Greetery - Hey Honeycomb Party Hat
With nine colours to play with, plus a neutral or two, I immediately thought of the Floral Reflection die set from Spellbinders.
I cut the floral sprays mainly The Stamp Market's Color Crush cardstock with a few additions from C9 and PTI.
Here are the shades I used:
- TSM: Forest, Citrine, Peach, Rusty, Fresh Mint, Minty, Golden
- C9: Nectar, Grapefruit
- PTI: Rustic Cream
I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant on Spellbinders Chiffon, layered on Hero Arts Ivory cardstock cut with the little deckled edge circle from the Spellbinders set. I layered those on C9 Nectar (cut with the smallest rosette die in the Hey Honeycomb Party Hat set from The Greetery), and finished it all off with one of the little Diamond Ribbons bows cut from C9 Juniper.
Next, I assembled everything on the matching Essential Floral Reflection die cut from C9 Eucalyptus.
I mounted the panel on my card base covered with an A2 panel of PTI Rustic Cream that I'd run through with the Waffle Flower Cross-Hatch Texture die.
And card complete!
I may try this palette again, using a different colour for the background and bringing in more blue-ish tones, but I really hope Christine is working on Color Palette 0002! This was fun!
