There's a brand-new challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog today, all on the theme of weather.
So, of course, it was the perfect excuse for one of my favourite spring cover plate dies to get its annual outing:
Dies: Poppy Stamps - Raining Frame die (r), The Greetery - Sentiment Suite Basics, Mama Elephant - Framed Tags - Park Avenue, Poppy Stamps - Whittle Hedgehog (r)
Stamp: Memory Box - Springtime Typewriter Sentiments (r)
And of course the lighting conditions for taking a photo of this card were less than ideal, but you may see the colour variations in the Distress Oxide ink blended background that includes splattered water and a good splattering of silvery Mica distress spray.
I cut the umbrella of the cover plate again along with the Whittle Hedgehog die and coloured these in with Copics and a white pen for extra details.
I cut the Park Avenue frame from Mama Elephant from white card covered in cloud paper from what must have been either the first or second ever collection from Echo Park.
Finally, I stamped the spring sentiment on a sentiment strip from The Greetery and finished off the card with sparkly sequins.
