DCM - Let's have cake!

Happy Friday!

I'm back with another card project, this time for the new challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, which is all on the theme of cake!

So of course I had to reach for the fab Takes the Cake stencil, stamp, and die sets from The Greetery:

Stencils: The Greetery - Airmail Border

I started out by creating a fun border for my card using the new Airmail Border stencils from The Greetery, in Sea Glass and Coastal ink shades on white cardstock.

Then I cut a Crimped Frame from pale rose cardstock to nest inside the border.

I then grabbed the various Takes the Cake supplies to create the stencilled and stamped floral decorations on the cake, and the sentiment banner.

While they were drying, I cut the cake stand from silver cardstock and the icing from glitter cardstock.

I added the cake and elements to my card, then realised it needed a bit more celebratory action, so out came the Twisted Crepe streamers and a birthday sentiment from the Eat Cake set by The Stamp Market.

And there we have it - a fun birthday card ready for upcoming celebrations. :)
