Colourful Whimsical Wings

Morning all!

I'm over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a new project, this time using some lovely supplies from Concord & 9th.

Namely, the Whimsical Wings layering stencil set and accompanying stamps:

There's lots of scope, particularly with the layering stencils, to use a variety of colours on your project. Especially using post-it notes to mask certain areas of the stencils and go in with even more colours.

Well, I kept thing relatively simple here, using a few of my favourite shades and adding a little contrast here and there. But when it came to stamping the butterfly, I really wanted to keep it minimal - with on-trend blush and sage green tones. I didn't add any of the fill-in stamps to the wings.

I also didn't want to cover up the butterfly. So added a simple sentiment strip at the bottom of the card, nestled in with the flower detail.
