DCM - April elemental inspiration

Good morning!

Over on the Daring Cardmakers blog this week, Dawn has picked the elemental inspiration image for us to work with:

And here are the elements I went with: Toadstools, a woodland creature, banner element

Stamp and stencil combo: The Greetery - Print Shop: Floral Frame

I absolutely loved this excuse to get my BotaniCuts Toadstool Garden dies out again, but give them the spring treatment.

I went with a mix of grey tones to blend on cream cardstock and once my toadstools were assembled I added pencil shading and lots of dots using a white pen.

I then got to work on stencilling the Floral Frame with more muted spring shades to go with the neutral background I'd chosen for my card base.

Once all the stamped details were added I attached the frame and toadstools to my card base then cut the new Bunny Kisses die from Ivory cardstock, using a jewel picker to add the nose, cheek, and ear details.

I also added some fluffy stuff to create the bunny's cotton tail.

Finally, for my sentiment, I used one of the new greetings from the Tear Strip Tag Spring set stamped in grey ink on the coordinating tag die.

And there we have it, a slightly different Spring card.

Those toadstools are just lovely, they look beautiful in the soft neutrals. Lovely spring card Nat!
