This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, the air is full of chirping and sweet bird song.
Jenny wants you to feature a bird of any type on your card - from garden birds to something a little more exotic.
Well, with Easter being round the corner, I had to feature a cute little chickie on mine, in fact I made two matching cards while I was at it:

The Spiffy Speckles paper pad from Lawn Fawn was the perfect backdrop to my spring scene. It includes monochrome papers with speckles, but also white papers with speckles in the same colours as the monochrome papers. So I inked up a sheet of paper that already had green speckles on it with two shades of Lawn Fawn ink for an ombré look.
A great way to get more mileage out of that paper pad!
I also added some inking to the die-cut yellow chicks and the Whittle Easter eggs.
Once I'd created the elements for my scenes, I cut the Scalloped Window Frame from The Stamp Market from a buttery yellow cardstock (looks nicer in real life) that I had in my stash.
There was just enough room to personalise the cards with the PTI block alphabet die (using post-it tape to hold all the letters in place when transferring them from my grid mat to the opening on the card.
Finally, I found a cute greeting in the wonderfully handy Springtime Typewriter Sentiments set from Memory Box and finished everything off with some Nuvo Drops.
