DCM - Word play

Morning!

This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, it was Joanne's turn to set the challenge.

And it's actually a word play challenge based on the letters F-E-B of February.

Plenty of ways to go with this one, but here's hope I represented FEB:

• F = florals
• E = embellishments
• B = Birthday

I knew florals were going to be a big part of my card design, I just didn't realise it would involve so many floral patterns layered together. Definitely embracing a bit of Maximalism there!

I've really enjoyed my recent patterned paper-centric projects, and this one allowed me to really make the sentiment stand out.

I actually stamped the banner text on the pale pink section of the Sown paper, and mounted it on that lovely contrasting Garden Greens B-side.

I found a great match for the green in my stash of The Stamp Market cardstock to make the fancy bow, and finished that off with a button from October Afternoon. Still my favourite buttons ever.
