Morning!
Welcome to February and a new prompt for this year's card challenge.
This is the image we'll be working with:
And the focus colour is: Pink
A few ideas to get you started:
- February may be the month for Valentine's Day, but there's also a lesser known celebration that fans of the TV series Parks and Recreation will be familiar with. February 13th is Galentine's Day - the perfect excuse to send a card to the gals in your life and celebrate your friendship.
- In general February is also seen as the month of love: so celebrate the one you love.
- Hearts galore: whether a background pattern or a main focal point, hearts are such a versatile design element.
- Stickers: I can't be the only one with a stockpile of stickers that rarely get used, perhaps one of the elements that will work on your card this month can come from a sticker sheet. ;)
- Something sweet: a shaker card with something that looks like sprinkles? A birthday cake? Lollipops and ice creams, or even a chocolate pun?
- Ooh la la: a French theme - this could allow you to use vintage style elements and papers, feature the Eiffel Tower, a sentiment in French, or even an homage to Breton stripes.
- Glass: whether a bottle, mason jar, or cocktail glass or even using acetate to make something look like it's made of glass.
- Party elements: sequins, balloons, party hat
- Umbrella: can be easily combined with an uplifting sentiment
- Diagonal stripes
- A pop of red
- Doilies
- Washi tape
- An uneven edge: inspired by the wiggly straw
- A non-neutral card blank colour: rather than white, cream, or kraft as your card base, why not go for another solid colour like pale pink?
I hope there's something in that list that has your creative cogs turning. ;)
Happy crafting!
