DCM - You're so square!

Good morning!

For this week's Daring Cardmakers dare, Shabneez is challenging us to feature squares galore on our cards.

Stamps: Flora & Fauna - Brush Birthday
Dies: The Stamp Market - Vintage Slides, The Stamp Market - Love and Thanks, Neat & Tangled - Scored Shapes (r)

Well, many squares I did make! With the aid of the smallest Vintage Slide die in the set from The Stamp Market.

In fact, if you've glanced down at the supplies list, you may be wondering where the Flora & Fauna Brush Birthday stamp set even comes into it...

Well each of those colours in the slides is a swatch created using the largest brush stroke stamp in this set. It fit the slide aperture perfectly and adds a little character to the swatches as some have dots of white were still visible. It was quite satisfying to stamp out all those happy colours.

This card was definitely a labour of love - it included some assembly line action to create all the slides and get them laid out on the pink card base. But it also involved a lot of passes of that Love & Thanks die through my big shot for each individual cardstock colour and of course a good time spent glueing down all the die cuts.

But those two elements and the rainbow colours make for such a striking look that all I needed to add were some scored hearts as a finishing touch.
