This is a card I made for a fellow crafter currently going through a tough time.
I think there's nothing better than sending/receiving a handmade card when times are tough - happy mail is certainly a great tonic and I'm just disappointed that I've not made and sent more cards during lockdown.
But those of you who have struggled when your creative mojo has packed up and left the country know what it's like. You can't force it and it can make it worse if you do.
I am happy to say though that back when I made this card in early June I finally felt the mojo return, enough to get me feeling inspired and creative enough to return to my craft desk on a weekend.
So anyway, on with the card....

Dies: The Stamp Market - Butterfly Builder
Well you can't say there's any lack of colour here! I stamped a butterfly using just about every colour of The Stamp Market ink that I had in my collection. ;)
Only trouble was there was no room for the green butterfly I'd stamped, so to get that pop of green I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of green card.
Also, you can't see in the photo, but I couldn't get a clean impression of this background stamp without ink somehow getting pressed into some areas of the open diamond spaces.
My tip is to use an ink cube to ink this background stamp in general, but even then there were a couple of areas that were artfully concealed with a butterfly. ;) So the other tip is to keep a microfibre cloth to hand to quickly remove any obvious ink before stamping.
Once I'd positioned all my butterflies on the background and added the sentiment there was obviously room for some sequins as a final finishing touch. ;)
