DCM - Keep it in the Family

Good morning!

This week's Daring Cardmakers challenge from Joanne is celebrating our nearest and dearest. :D

With an upcoming lockdown birthday in the family, I had the perfect project in mind:

Paper: Carta Bella - Flower Market
Stamps: The Greetery - Written in Ribbons
Dies: The Greetery - Written in Ribbons, Hero Arts - Infinity Nesting Rectangles, Mama Elephant - Oval Scallop Frames, Neat & Tangled - Skinny Strips

I'm afraid I'm still not in the cardmaking zone right now - hence the lack of posts. But my supplies are all here ready to go when my mojo returns. That's the great thing about this hobby, right? You just pick it up again when you're ready.

For this card I wanted to use some of the bloom papers in the Carta Bella Flower Market pad along with some of my newer stash additions from this year - namely the Written in Ribbons stamp set from The Greetery and the oval frames from Mama Elephant.

It's a simple design I know, but the paper makes it very busy and well, it just reminds me of this time of year.

The two-tone sentiment is a lot clearer in real life and it's a nice style to have in my sentiment collection. You know how I love multi-step stamping!

It's the ideal time to send hand made cards with the post! I'm sure that the birthday girl will cherish it even more this year.
The colourful paper is great! And perfect for the "simple layout".
