Hello, helllo!
Welcome to the first Friday of a new month!
You know what that means, it's a brand-new elemental inspiration challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog. :D
This month Miri has picked out a great image for us to use:
Although not as bright as the colours in the card, I did take inspiration from the colour palette along the bottom of the image, plus the main elements I decided to feature:
Paper and frame: Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes - Willow Lane (r)
Stamps and dies: SugarPea Designs - You're My Type
So my specific elements were a typewriter, florals, and pompom trim.
I don't think I've shared a card with this great little typewriter die and stamp set before. It's from SugarPea Designs and I'm pretty sure it's still available in their store plus others. It's perfect for adding sentiments for any occasion, including a letter to Santa no less.
I'm especially fond of it now that I have amassed a great collection of mini sentiments in typewriter fonts. The sentiments I used though were from the coordinating stamp set.
It's also been a while since I made a non-A2 US card format card and reached for my UK card blanks (this time in 5 x 7 inches). When I go with that format I always find I reach for my patterned papers, as there's more room for them to be showcased and peek out.
I've got just two frames left in that Willow Lane set, not sure yet how I'll use them, but I'm a step closer to finally using up the pack of four. I really should use my ephemera more, but it's so easy to just create what you need from stamps and dies sometimes that you don't spend the time flicking through your embellishments box. ;)
Anyway, I hope you check out the fantastic and varied cards from the rest of the design team - I love all the different takes we have this week. Try to play along if you get the chance!
Happy crafting!

That's such a cute card and I love the pompom trim a lot! I haven't even "seen" it on the March picture ;-).
The typewriter with the mini messages is amazing.
