Morning everyone!
This month's prompt is definitely embracing those summer vibes and is a study in peach, apricot, or blush tones:
You can use the image as inspiration for colours alone or interpret more of the elements:
- So as mentioned, we have peach, apricot and blush tones, paired with some interesting green tones - perfect for your focal elements.
- The peach tones are great for creating an ombré look or colour wash.
- But what about using an off-white neutral colour as your background? Grey tones, cream, and kraft would all work well.
- Celebrate summer - ice lollies and summer themes are popular in many scrapbook collections.
- Floral sprays and backgrounds - always a good choice for weddings and other celebrations.
- Leaves - still very much on trend, big leaves and tropical foliage would be great as a background to your sentiment.
- Baskets - great as a "planter" for a floral card or interpret the basket texture with a textured embossing folder.
- Clean and simple greeting - that bold font and shading could be easily applied to your sentiment. Why not use an all-caps sentiment if you have one in your stash?
- Kids - make something for a child.
- Or look at the top the little girl is wearing, it looks like embroidery - so from simple stitching to actual sewing on your card, there are plenty of options. Do you have "cross-stitch" stamps in your collection (e.g. by Altenew) or dies designed to be stitched with embroidery thread?
Hopefully those are just a few ideas to get your started! :)
Happy crafting!
