Morning all!
April has arrived and with it a new prompt for this year's card challenge. :D
This month we're definitely going full out spring-focused with the image, but if that isn't your bag, don't worry!
There's scope for many interpretations here:
- Bunting
- Honeycomb paper and paper folding techniques
- Crimped or scalloped edges
- Text on banners
- Floral sprays or backgrounds
- Using floral/foliage elements to "dress" your sentiment
- Pinwheels
- Paper piecing
- Sweet treats - think birthday cakes, cupcakes, afternoon tea, sprinkles, ice cream, chocolate, donuts...
- Rainbow shades in vibrant pastels
- Cards for a new arrival (bunnies and sheep could be the perfect fit!)
- Stripes
- Washi tape
- Mini pegs
- Personalized cards
- Shiplap texture using a scoring board
- Embossing folder/heat embossing to create a checked "waffle" texture à la the ice cream cone
- "Surprise inside" - inspired by the bundt cake with treats inside, how about an interactive card idea where the rest of your sentiment is revealed or use those reveal images/dies that Lawn Fawn are currently focusing on if you've got them in your stash. :D
And of course - Easter and spring! ;)
I hope that's helped to get your creative ideas going, I look forward to seeing what you create!
Happy crafting. :)
