March elemental inspiration

Well, it's kind of hard to believe that it's officially spring when there's a white-out. But before the Beast from the East hit, I'd set to work on my card for this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge.

It's the first Friday of a new month so time for an elemental inspiration challenge, and here's the image Miri picked for us:

And here's my interpretation:

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Hoppy Easter
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Spring Sprig, Simon Says Stamp - Easter word die, Lawn Fawn - Hoppy Easter, Essentials by Ellen - Stitches cover plate, Lil' Inker Designs - Stitched Woodgrain cover-up plate
Other: watercolours, Distress Ink, Nuvo drops, Copic markers

I was inspired by the plain white wall as a blank canvas, the pink spotty wallpaper (paint speckles on my card), blush pink spring blooms, boughs of greenery to make a wreath and the general spring feel.

I used the lovely Lawn Fawn Spring Sprig dies to make the wreath and added little Nuvo droplets in Buttermilk to the centres of the flowers rather than cut the berries out.

I wasn't sure how to fit the bunny into this card as I wanted to use that Easter word die, and Hoppy Easter doesn't make much sense without a bunny lurking somewhere!

I just need to get into the Easter card mood now as I have some fab dies I got last year that I never managed to get on an Easter card. I really should do my Easter crafting in December to keep on schedule!
