Tidings of comfort and joy

In an effort to get a few cards made at the same time while I have the same dies/stamp sets on my desk, I've two takes on the lovely Avery Elle Comfort & Joy stamp set I purchased last year but didn't manage to deploy before Christmas!

First up, I used some cute papers and stickers I got in a wintry Simon Says Stamp card kit last year:

Other: 3D foam tape, white embossing powder

I finally got my hands on some Hero Arts white embossing powder after hearing so many people rave about it. It's definitely a nice strong white, a bit of a difference from the Personal Impressions white embossing powder I've had in my stash and used since 2003 (still on that first ever pot!). The EK Success powder tool is definitely an essential item when embossing onto black cardstock. Also it adds a nice chalkboard look behind the sentiment.

Yep, the Tim Holtz tinsel twine is back out! Really love how it adds that Christmas sparkle without adding too much bulk to your card. :)

Right, I had best get these cards added to the Christmas tin - which is still rather empty. Eek!
