Morning folks!
Long time no hear I know, but the weather has been lovely here apart from a few grey days and I've been making the most of it by being outside - so no crafting!
This month's Pantone colour is Pink Yarrow - it's a lush pink that's perfect for summer that will go with so many other accent colours.
Here's the prompt I chose:
Here are some ideas:
- Mix and match Pink Yarrow with elegant neutral tones and inject a little bling or sparkle by pairing it with gold
- As you can see navy blue and white is a perfect coordinating shade - if you want to go a little more tropical than aqua blue or mint green would work beautifully too
- Bold stripes - create your own background or dig out some patterned paper to do the job
- Floral splendour - this is the perfect opportunity to go all out with layered stamp sets and die cut flowers
- White heat embossing on contrasting backgrounds
- Sequins and crystal drops
- A tiered cake - perfect for a birthday card or wedding - or the tiered cake could inspire you to block elements like squares of paper, words, buttons, embellishments to create a similar look
- Swallows and swifts - feature some birds in flight, the image this conjured also made me think of how you could incorporate Pink Yarrow into a sunset background of rich pinks, oranges, yellow and even purple by blending Distress Inks
- Have you bought any of the new Distress Oxides? Well this could be a perfect time to experiment with the Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick pads to create a graduated background!
Happy crafting!
