Morning everyone!
Well, we are reaching the final stretch of this year's card challenge.
For our main prompt this month I've chosen this pic:
There are some very cool design elements that can be easily translated to a card project:
- Geometric prints as a main background
- Copper/rose gold foiling/embossing/accents
- Rusty red as an accent colour
- Grey tones with a pop of contrasting colour
- Woodgrain textures and background
- Ombré effect like the rug
- Felt and fabrics
- Gladioli
- Mirror-effect - sequins and similar bling, an actual mirror in the design, mirror stamping techniques
- A circle as the main focus of your card - whether an aperture, circular text, or masking out a circle in the background to highlight your sentiment
- A retro feel
As for this month's festive prompt, well I thought it was time to focus on the humble snowflake:
You can be inspired by the picture in many ways:
- Recreate the window scene
- Feature falling snowflakes
- Create a garland of suspended snowflakes
- Focus on one eye-catching snowflake as your main design element - make it simple (white on white) or bling it up to the max with beads, glitter, etc.
That's it for this month, hope you enjoy the prompts!
Happy crafting!
