Over on the Daring Cardmakers blog today, Kathy has challenged us to interpret the lyrics of What a Wonderful World on our cards.
Here's a reminder of how the song goes:
I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
The colours of the rainbow,
So pretty in the sky.
Are also on the faces,
Of people going by,
I see friends shaking hands.
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying,
"I love you".
I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more,
Than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
Oh yeah.
So, I incorporated a few things that always come to mind when I hear this song, and that includes the colours of the rainbow...
Paper: Pink Paislee
Dies: MFT, PTI, Lawn Fawn, Memory Box (Modern Landscape Die)
Stamp: Lawn Fawn
Other: enamel dots, Wink of Stella pen, 3D foam tape, Promarkers
It's a bit hard to see but I added Wink of Stella to the Hugs die-cut and the hearts for a little shimmer. I also really wish I'd used another shade of green for the rainbow when colouring it in, Lime Green has definitely dried a lot lighter!
Do remember to pop on over to the DCM blog to see the amazing interpretations of the lyrics from the design team and join in! :)
Happy crafting!
I absolutely love this card! It has everything I like...sunshine, clouds, rainbows and Hugs!
