Over on the Daring Cardmakers blog today our new challenge has been set by Leo and has a rather literary flair!
She's challenged us to create a card inspired by our favourite reads... and well, mine is more inspired by a favourite adaptation of a Jane Austen Classic:
The BBC's Emma adaptation...
And perhaps this adaptation of Persuasion also pricked my imagination too.
Anyway, a love of regency-set romance very much dominates my Goodreads list!
And this is my interpretation:
Paper: Crate Paper
Dies: PTI, MFT
Stamps: PTI, Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Other: 3D foam tape, dies
I just love this background paper from Maggie Holmes' new Gather collection. It reminds me of the inside covers of old hardback novels. Plus the roses were very BBC-Emma-centric! And not much else was needed, I used my Simply Jane stamp and die set from PTI for the regency decorations, and the font from Waltzing Mouse's sentiment stamp is perfect for the period. :)
Go and check out the fab card examples from the design team over on the blog, and see what books inspired them!
P.S. I think it's time for a rewatch of my Emma DVD this weekend! ;)
Happy crafting!
Wow! What a pretty pretty card! The neutral colours give such a elegant look to the card...
