Morning everyone!
This month's prompts come from a decidedly wintry day here in the north - sadly what summery weather we did have disappeared promptly on Monday. :(
However, I'm hoping that the prompts for June will bring a little added sunshine!
Here's the main prompt:
The elements from this prompt include:
- Stars
- Banners
- Sequins
- Party theme
- Confetti
- Spots and dots
- Diagonal stripes
- Sunshine quotes
- Big balloon elements
- Hand-painted look for backgrounds
- Waterbrush text
- Hexagons
- Zigzags - or if you picked up the new Lawn Fawn mountain background dies, then now's your chance to use them!
- Peach tones or indeed any of the colours you see combined or as a focal colour
As for our Christmas prompt this month:
Lots of reindeer games for this one! I noticed in my stash that the past few years manufacturers have included lots of antlers in ephemera packs and the like plus I have the odd reindeer sticker in there too. But if you have a reindeer-free craft zone then look to other elements in this image you can focus on.
- A festive wreath - why not emulate the one in the image using green hearts as leaves?
- Experiment with negative-effect stamps and images like the green border at the bottom
- Feature a folk art style
- Create a Christmas card that doesn't have a sentiment on the front - the way you illustrate will be enough to communicate that festive theme
- Make a symmetrical card - whether using a die for a 3D effect or using stamps
That's it for ideas so far! I already have a card ready for the main prompt to share, so I'll be back with that later this week. :)
Happy crafting!
