This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog it's time for a new elemental challenge!
Here's our inspiration image for May:
The three elements I picked were the doorway as an aperture, the woodgrain texture, and leaves! I wish I still had a suitable bike image in my stash but I seem to have used them all up of late.
Paper: Dear Lizzy
Dies: WPlus9, PTI, Altenew
Embossing plate: PTI
Stamps: Altenew
Other: Gansai Tambi paints, sequins, 3D foam tape
I used the foliage frame border die from WPlus9 and cut it from watercolour paper so I could add a green colour wash in various shades. The paper I used in the background looks like it has a watercolour wash already on it, but it's not so clear after running it through the Bigshot with the woodgrain embossing plate.
And I finally used my Hugs die from PTI! Have admired it for ages as I just love the cut out lettering, but it's rather large for US card format. Definitely going to have to use it on UK card blanks in future. :D
Remember to pop on over to the DCM blog for more wonderful inspiration!
Very pretty!! I do like a bicycle but a pretty pink rose? Well I think that might top it!!! :D TFS

The font of your "hugs" die is super beautiful. What a great focal point for your cheerful card.
