Gosh, where on earth did April go to?
I can't believe it's time for a round of new prompts for the challenge.
I am sadly flagging behind on my crafting in general, but who knows May could be the month I get back on a more even keel!
Here's hoping the prompt for this month chases that winter weather away!
For the main prompt this month there's plenty of summery inspiration and here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Pin wheels
- Flowers or plants in vases
- Snazzy retro shapes and designs (those vases look very mod)
- Background made of blocks of colour
- Try replicating the top-right image as a card sketch - would look great with scraps of different patterned papers
- Bright and creative backgrounds using different colour mediums, like Distress crayons, paints, gelatos, etc.
- A taste of summer - ice creams, ice lollies, bbq themes, tea parties
- Sorbet pastel colours
- The top-left image features some nice plates on the wall - how about a circular card? Or some sort of symmetrical circle design
As for the Christmas prompt, well I am not wanting to tempt more snowy weather, but I couldn't resist this prompt:
- Yep, you could just feature a gingerbread house...
- But what about a winter village scene with little houses and trees against a wintry sky?
- Incorporate a snowglobe look
- Use the colours in the image - I can see a lovely way to use Distress inks to emulate the brown, pine green and peacock blue for some pine cones and boughs.
- And good old red and white striped twine - would look lovely with some mini silver bells
Hope those ideas help get you started. Happy crafting!
