Happy Friday and happy April!
It's time for some new prompts for the 2016 card challenge and here's what I've picked out this month!
Lots of ways to go with this selection:
- Explore subtle textures using embossing folders or embossing paste
- Typewriters! Still love them and they're always great for showcasing your greeting
- Chevron patterns!
- Pockets or tabs with a button-loop detail
- Garlands - think stars, hearts, circles on twine or thread
- Big bow accents - why not make them the star of your card
- Gold foiled sentiments
- A fancy birthday cake
- Watercolour washes
- Focus colour: yellow
- Ombré effect
- Fancy calligraphy/brush script
- Pick shades from the colour palette featured in the pin
As for the festive number... I know I've not managed to keep up, but I am keeping a note of the Christmas prompts for future use when I have chance to catch up!
This is the April pick:
Inspiration includes:
- Incorporating pompom trim
- Focal colours of red, green, and white against neutrals
- White on black sentiments
- Embroidery/stitching
- Incorporating an embroidery hoop as a frame
- Circular greetings
- Single word greeting
- Rustic/folk style
I'll leave you to ponder those and look forward to seeing what you make! :D
Happy crafting!
