Welcome to another Friday!
Goodness me, parts of this past week have flown by while others have not!
But yay! Friday!
Friday also means a new dare up over on the Daring Cardmakers.
This time it was Miri's turn to choose our challenge and our theme is party animals - aka featuring an animal on your card who is celebrating something.
I went through lots of stamp sets looking for something I've not used in a while that would fit the bill, but ultimately it was my recent Simon Says Stamp Christmas present that fit what I had in mind:
Paper: Crate Paper
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp
Dies: Simon Says Stamp, WPlus9
Other: Gansai Tambi paints, liquid pearls, 3D foam tape, wink of stella pen
So I went with a bunny for my first Easter card of 2016 - I used the Gansai Tambi paints to colour him and his flag in, but also to create a green water-coloured background on my white cardstock to go ahead and cut the wreath and Easter dies from. I added small flowers from the WPlus9 wreath set that I cut from a new-to-me pale rose cardstock from Bazzill Cardshoppe - oh it is just the shade I have been missing!! I used an embossing stylus to dent the inside of the flowers on a mouse mat so that I could then add drops of gold pearl liquid pearls to the centres. The Easter die cut also got a bit of sparkle with the aid of my Wink of Stella pen.
Definitely go check out the other party animals over on the DCM blog!
Happy crafting!
Your card is beautiful, Nat. The happy bunny is super cute and I like your colouring, too.
