We've reached the first Friday of a new month, so we have a great new inspiration photo over on the Daring Cardmakers blog today to play along with.
Gez chose this cool image:
There are lots of cool and trendy ways you could go with that image - I love the rainbow colours mixed in with the black background, but since I needed to add another card to my Christmas card production line for this year I went in a different direction!
You need to feature 3 elements from the photo and interpret them on your card, colours are counted as 1 element:
Paper: Elle's Studio, Simple Stories
Stamps: PTI, WPlus9
Dies: Lil' Inker Designs
Other: enamel dots, 3D foam tape
I went ahead and took the chalkboard painted black wall as my main inspiration - I wanted to replicate the look of a chalkboard for my sentiments, so out came a favourite technique Betsy Veldman shared a while ago on one of PTI's Make it Monday videos. The other elements are a dash of pink in the patterned papers and a little heart.
There are some fantastic card ideas that were inspired by this month's challenge photo, so definitely pop on over to the blog and play along! :)
I love your card girl!! (as always!!)
TFS! :D
