It's my turn to set the dare over on the Daring Cardmakers blog this week, and as it so happens today is the last day of an almost 15-year chapter in what I do in my day job and tomorrow is my first day of being self-employed...
Wow!
So it seemed kind of apt to that this week we should celebrate new beginnings, whether they be in work, love, family, life in general or just sharing words of wisdom and inspiration for those who are about to embark on a new adventure or a new chapter.
Well, the past month has been pretty full on behind the scenes for me as you could probably tell from the lack of crafting and blog updates.
But August 1st is also a very special day for a couple of newlyweds who are heading off on their honeymoon. My brother and my lovely sister-in-law:
So it seemed only fitting to share the card I made for them on their big day, the first day of their new adventure as Mr and Mrs:
Paper, ephemera, stickers, chipboard, flair, brads, enamel dots: My Mind's Eye - Fancy That! collection
Other: 3D foam
There was gold galore on this card and also on the accents I used inside:
I used the bride and groom brads on a journaling card for the inside. :)
And of course the all important date, amazing to think it was just two weeks ago!
The design team has really gone all out with some spectacular cards for this week's dare so head on over to the blog and check them out!
This card was part of the big wedding celebration post I shared on the Hey Little Magpie blog earlier this week, so head on over there too to see more details about the product used and what else I made. ;)
