This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, Jo has set us a fab challenge - to incorporate a mathematical diagram in our cards some how... e.g. a pie chart.
Well, I had an inkling this dare would go OK - after all there are lots of pie charts cropping up in scrapbooking collections at the moment, right? I mean surely I had to have a graph or pie chart amongst all the stash I have.
Yeah.
Hm... that plan didn't quite work out!
I found some pie chart and bar graph illustrations in a collection but they just weren't going to work on a card.
So, enter plan C.
DIY pie chart making!
Paper: American Crafts, Pink Paislee, MME
Dies: Lil' Inker Designs, MFT
Stamp: Lawn Fawn
Enamel dots: Basic Grey
Other: 3D foam
After passing GCSE maths far too many years ago, I thought I was safe: I would never, ever be in need of a protractor again.
Wrong!
It would have been very handy for getting all the segments to intersect properly on my little home-made paper pie chart.
But I prevailed over the trigonometry involved by just cutting by eye. ;)
There are some seriously fab takes on the mathematical diagram inspiration over on the blog - so go check it out!
Happy crafting!
Stunning! Loving all the different papers.
