2015 card challenge - February - sketch and colour palette

I used the February sketch and colour elements as a jumping off board for the card projects I made for Hey Little Magpie this month - the post can be found here.

But first, here's a reminder of the sketch for February:

Paper: Pebbles Inc - We Go Together
Dies: PTI, MFT, Lawn Fawn
Stamp: MFT
Other: Enamel dots, glitter card, 3D foam

I loved the strip of pink/white/red that was on the end of the paper, a great accent against the larger patterns and grey tones. :) Also glitter card seems to be my current addition, using it in small doses, but a little goes a long way!

My next card also kinda fits the Feb colour palette:

I also added a hint of yellow into the mix as the love hearts featured quite a bit of it.

Again the border strip on the paper came in handy as a way to finish off the hexagonal edge - this card had started as a portrait card hence the patterns from the die-cut hexagons being a bit more portrait friendly, but after adding the greeting the way I did, it looked better standing up horizontally.
