Chasing the January blues away

This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog we're working on the theme of the January blues.

And whatever your take on it might be - whether focussing on the colour blue, a play on words about feeling blue, or something else entirely.

For my card I was definitely hoping to chase the blues away and focus on brighter things. :D

I was thinking about when life gives you lemons... make lemonade. And that made me think of the gorgeous Liz Lemon paper in the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection...

But I don't have that greeting in my sentiments, however I did find a very nice greeting to go with the sunny lemony fresh card idea I had whirring around in my head. :)

How handy to have pretty and cute cloud paper that so seamlessly matched the aqua polka dot paper - I wanted to include rainbows but I did rainbows last week... this could be a running theme for January at this rate. :)

But no, my goal was to make a cheery card to bring smiles and happiness to someone, and hopefully this will do the trick!

This came out perfect! I love the lemons against the blue. Rainbow clouds are a good idea though...

I adore the mix of lemon yellow with the pale blue and pink wth the stitch die details. That lemon paper is awesom
