Just popping in this fine Sunday to share the cards I made for my November blog post for Hey Little Magpie - all the details can be found here. :)
I used the following items from the DIY Christmas collection for all these cards:
I also used some staple dies in my collection:
Here's what I made...
Papers, die-cut embellishments, chipboard and enamel dots: Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection
Dies: Lil' Inker Designs, Marianne
Other: 3D foam
I definitely needed to make a festive "tree scene" for that chipboard bauble - so the perfect solution was to use the pine tree branch die to do it and of course the Lil' Inker Designs photo frame die. :)
Another little scene with the chipboard Christmas tree against a nighttime background:

Dies: Lil' Inker Designs
Other: 3D foam
I love the polka paper against the dark text paper - that little tree was the perfect match for the greeting banner. :)
I then wanted to share some ideas for using the circular card element greetings:

Dies: Spellbinders, WPlus9
Other: 3D foam
I used a nesties die that was the perfect fit for the WPlus9 spring wreath die to create a festive frame around the greeting. Also for a bit of pop in the bottom right corner, I layered up some of the embellishments from various accessory packs.
Next up, a cool way to use the circular greetings on rosettes, like snowflake rosettes:

Die: Sizzix
Other: 3D foam
I love how the snowflake pops against that black and white chevron paper. :)
Here's a card with lots of layering of the die-cut elements:

You get a pretty good idea of the shapes in the card layers pack here as I think I used almost every one of them on this card! :)
And finally, I went with a big bold statement for this card:

Dies: X-cut
Other: 3D foam
Nothing says bold Christmas wishes like a huuuge poinsettia right? :)
I really enjoyed working with this collection and will definitely be using the card layer elements to make some Christmas tags too. :D
