Well, not just yet!
But this week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, Svenja has invited us all on a summer holiday - in the crafty sense that is! ;o)
Our challenge this week is to create a travel-themed card.
And what better excuse to delve into my little collection of travel papers:
Paper: Crate Paper, Studio Calico
Dies: MFT, Lawn Fawn, Lil' Inker Designs
Stickers: Crate Paper, Simple Stories
Other: 3D foam, sewing machine
This card had many incarnations, but in the end I covered up my hodge podge map background made of hexagons that just didn't work quite how I liked it and kept the hexagon borders with some more map paper from Studio Calico's Abroad collection pack . Out came my stitched dies for a little added texture and I happily chopped up a few more of the last pieces of Crate Paper's Story Teller paper that I have hanging around - including that par avion stripe and the cork paper I used for the frame.
It's not often I get to use that greeting stamp - for some reason I think it lends itself much better to a manly card. :D
But the challenge this week sure has got me in the mood for my summer hols!
There are some fab travel cards on the blog from the design team - covering lots of different forms of travel so do check them out.
Have a crafty weekend!
Great card Nat - and thank you for making me realise I'm not the only one who has to cover up bits that don't quite look the way they were supposed to!

That's a great card, Nat! I love all the travel-inspired papers and stamps you used and the polaroid picture frame made from cork.

I totally love how your card turned out in the end. (And it's always very consoling to hear that others don't get their stuff done at the first try, too.....) I can see whay you think the sentiment more suitable for a manly card, it's somewhat on the scientific side after all. But maybe that's a clichée?
