Over on the Daring Cardmakers blog this week Gez has challenged everyone to feature doodles on your card.
Well, I have been really pushed for time this week and also flapping around a bit preparing for our getaway to Cornwall for a family wedding, and so my creative brain had decided to get away from the madness and go hide.
Hence the reason I looked to ready-made doodles for my card!
Paper: MME, Canvas Corp
Stamp: Hero Arts
Dies: Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, Sizzix
Other: Promarkers, Glossy Accents, pattern wheel, 3D foam
My ready-made doodles come in the form of my favourite owl stamp by Hero Arts and also the doodly birthday greeting die by Paper Smooches. I was adamant that I wanted to use that lovely turquoise dotty paper by MME - I feel the need to buy more of that Find Your Wings and Fly range as the B-sides of the papers are just gorgeous in real life and I only bought a few staples that caught my eye... so Mr owl is colour co-ordinated in aqua and turquoise feathers. His eyes and beak have had a coating of Glossy Accents for extra pop too. :)
I hope you check out the fab doodle creations on the Daring Cardmakers blog!
Happy weekend crafting!
I love the colours and it's so striking. Why have I not seen the Find Your Wings and Fly collection before? I hope it turns up at TK Maxx at some point!
