Well, you knew it wouldn't be long until I took out the Whole Lotta' Happy stamps and dies by WPlus9 for another play right? After all, they are one of my favourite purchases of the year...
I wanted to go a bit more vibrant and fresh for this card to celebrate Kate's birthday today. :) So out came the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka paper pad in combination with some cloud paper I had in my stash by MME.
I've also been having some exposure issues on my little point and shoot Lumix camera, he's knocking on a bit now at almost 6 years old, so I have been experimenting with the manual setting with wide-ranging results, I'm still not overly happy with the photos this camera is taking and my SLR is just too cumbersome to take the shots I need of card projects - eek I hope I am not going to be needing a new camera any time soon...
But in the meantime here's the best of what little Lumix could give me:
Paper: MME, Lawn Fawn
Stamps: Wplus9
Dies: WPlus9, Avery Elle
Other: hemp cord, 3D foam, sewing machine
I think the embedded die-cut technique just works so well with these word dies - I know I should try it on some other dies in future, but I just love how these ones look against the white cardstock. :D
So a little round-up of what I used:
Lovely Nat - the embedded die cuts look great. I have finally got round to trying it out myself, will have to take a picture and upload!

What a fabulous card Nat! I love the embedded die cuts. What weight of card stock did you use and what make is it because it looks so white? Such a cute, clean, fresh card. I'm kicking myself now because I'd just been looking at the 'happy' words on MTDS and almost ordered them - wish I had now.

Hi Sue the cardstock I use for cardmaking now is primarily Bazzill Cardshoppe or my remaining stash of Papertrey Ink cardstock (I have a sampler pack but also vintage cream, rustic cream, soft stone and a few pastel shades from them).
I cannot recommend Bazzill Cardshoppe highly enough, their neutral shades like the white used here (Marshmallow) and their grey tones like Taffy are just fantastic. There are a few sponsors on UKS that stock it now. Hope they come out with some new colours soon though! I can't get enough of pastel and mellow tones to go with the fab array of greys. :)
