Morning everyone!
I hope you've managed to adjust to the start of British Summer Time!
The one good thing about the clocks going forward right now is that it's easier (in theory) to get decent daylight shots of projects before heading off to work. ;o)
This week it's the return of the photo inspiration prompt.
Here are a few things to kick start your creating thinking:
- Clean and Simple design
- Herringbone/chevron pattern
- Muted/natural tones with one bold colour
- Real wood effect background
- Use a stencil/stencil techniques (original pic is created from a stencil)
So as for me, I went with the herringbone background as my main inspiration - and this is the Mother's Day card I made for my own mum, having made quite a few this past week for card commissions:
Paper: Fancy Pants, Crate Paper
Stamps: Avery Elle
Dies: WPlus9, PTI, MFT
Chipboard: October Afternoon
Enamel dot: Studio Calico
Other: glitter card, twine, 3D foam
My other inspiration came from the pink and yellow tones - so I went a bit OTT with the glitter balloons, but all that twine placement and sticking took some doing. hehe
Ooh, love it! The balloons! The glitter! Everything!
