Well, it's the first dare of a new month over on the DCM blog this week, and the lovely Leo has chosen a gorgeous colour palette for us to work with:
Nice eh?
So, I had a few ideas running around in my head, but I definitely wanted to combine those orange and yellow tones.... and use some grey chevrons!
Here's the end result:
Paper: Studio Calico, Crate Paper
Stamps: PTI, Avery Elle, WPlus9
Dies: PTI, Cheery Lynn
Other: 3D foam
Alas my Peach Bellini orange ink looks a little washed out due to the lightning I had to do on my pics - ugh hate this dark daytime weather we are having, it's much more vibrant in real life! Perhaps I should have gone with a more zinging orange though. ;o)
Anyway, checkout the lovely design team projects on the blog - the colours are fab!
You do that two stage stamping so well Nat. This card is just so pleasing to the eye :)

Lovely interpretation, pale but interesting. You have inspired me to dig out my Rosie Posie stamps, I haven't used them since I acquired the 2nd 'step' set IYKWIM.
I really like the font for the sentiment, WP9 or Avery Elle?

I love your card Nat, that background paper is gorgeous, and I really like the layout of your card. I've got to get some good two stage stamping flower stamps, perhaps the WPlus 9 set as I loved your other card this week.

Hi Nat,
So soft and lovely and a PERFECT take on the sample image. You have a fine touch and I'm betting your card stays displayed ... forever, one someone's mantle :)
Blessings,
Barb
