Well, I was so busy last night that I managed to neglect to share the bauble for day 11:
It's very representative of another Christmas decor favourite - winter snowy scenes.... this particular bauble is a flatish one and has a lovely scene of a home in the woods - lots of glitter sparkle galore. :)
Day 12 was the day to share my favourite kitschy chic Christmas purchase of last year, the mini Santa mug from Pottery Barn:
This year he is on the folky shelf and holding all the candy canes.
I nipped into TK Maxx this evening after work in the vain hope of trying to find some American Crafts glitter cardstock or some other such crafty bargain - definitely not those many, many packs of Thickers overpriced at £4.99 for a shop that sells 60% off rrp... mhm... whatever.
There was nothing remotely suitable - however I did stop and smile at the sight of this:
Christmas wonderland in a beer keg... only in TK Maxx... and at £60 a pop I wonder who really would buy it considering it's not in a box or anything to protect it. And who knows if it works... but it's apparently the kind of thing my brother would buy given half the chance! There's no accounting for taste... hehe Then again it could be quite spectacular when lit up and moving, I'm sure!
The only thing I managed to score in TK Maxx was a box of family size kraft mac & cheese... at £3.99 it was cheaper than a normal box in Tesco and it's been ages since I last had some, so I had a bowl for tea... plenty left for tomorrow!
