So the blog's been a bit neglected this week - I've been rather busy this week with work, a bit of crafting, and a nice meal out.
In fact, let's go back to Friday when I had a rather long and tiring day at work and finally could rest and relax in the evening in the awful rainy weather with a warming hot choc and slice of cake:
Saturday morning I had a bit of work to do before an afternoon hair appt and a late lunch out with Ma at our favourite local Italian.
Glad to see our favourite drink was back on the menu:
Strawberry Pago juice cannot be beaten!
We decided to forgo our usual garlic bread starter (mmmmm) and have something a bit bigger for our main.
Ma went for a really filling Pork dish with Chirizio and some peppers, plus potatoes and salad on the side:
I went for the Pollo Speziale with a lovely salad and potatoes on the side - the caper, olive and cherry tomato salsa under the chicken was delicious and the chicken has to be one of the best grilled dishes I've ever had, so light and tender:
Sunday was a definite day of rest - or the day I did a bit more work and then got on with some cardmaking. ;o)
Monday evening was my only crafty time this week...
I got the inks out!
Tuesday night I was working right up until The Great British Bake Off.
Yesterday was a bit of a trying day but thankfully there was light at the end of a tunnel, a lovely meal at the Indian with Zoe - totally stuffed after polishing it off but it was sooooo good:
And off to the cinema we went to see We're the Millers. From the trailers at the cinema I am somewhat worried about the lack of comedy films coming our way this autumn and winter. :( We may get desperate when the SAD kicks in and have to go see Bad Grandpa:
But yes, I'm hoping there's at least a few more movies to go see this year!
Tonight I have managed to get my crop packing done in record time for tomorrow night, but I'd best double check I've actually got everything for this "light" packing malarkey.
It just doesn't seem right....
