I've been wanting to share a round-up of my staycation pics but there are so many and they all need going through and transferring from phone to pc that it's just something I've been putting off.
But while I was enjoying my staycation, my mum and dad were over in Poland visiting family, seeing the sights, and melting in the seriously hot heatwave.
They brought back some lovely gifts from my Polish relatives and a few purchases my mum made. ;o)
So, I wanted to share the lovely presents before any more time flew by!
The biggest surprise was the Coke bottle with my name on it.
My Auntie Ula made this inspired purchase after seeing my rather lamenting post on the blog and when she came across this bottle lined up with others in the shop she grabbed it off the shelf. And wait for it, it's a proper big bottle too! None of those teeny bottles for me. ;o)At last, something with my actual name on it, and spelled correctly!
I can't remember how many times as a kid in the 80s the closest thing to be found in museum gift shops and the like were keyrings for Natasha or bookmarks for Natalie. Never a Natalia to be found. Ah, Poland, I knew I could count on you!
My Auntie also made this gorgeous wardrobe freshner filled with lavender:
We definitely have some talented ladies in the family. :) I am not so handy with a needle and thread. But I try to keep the papercrafting end up!
These lovely gifts were from my cousin and his wife (the 1-year-weds) - and totally up my street as I love Kashubian designs and the stationery set in traditional Polish papercut designs is fab. I am pretty sure that that little scented heart was handmade by Aga too and it's now hanging up in my craft room. :)
I am also a big fan of cutouts like these:
I just need to work out where I'm going to hang them. :) The stationery will definitely get put to use soon:
And finally, my mum brought back a lovely and very handy little keychain:
She knows what I like. ;o) And yes, she also knows that I am difficult to please at least 95% of the time, but I cannot help it that I have discerning taste... after all I had to get it from somewhere. *Ü*
And since I am sharing my pretties, here are some more recent nice things that I have snapped:
The gorgeous new stash I treated myself to thanks to a wonderfully generous gift from my friend and her crafty mum. Such a surprise and will definitely be put to good use soon!
My unstoppable love for back to school stationery resulted in a rather colourful purchase.
My dahlia has finally come out despite the caterpillar invasion!
If it's going to rain, then it can do so if the sky's like this.
The August coconut kreme donut has been purchased and most definitely enjoyed.
Also to make it back from Poland, the best Chocolate treat made by Milka, Hazelnut Lila Stars... Milka, why do you not sell these in the UK eh?
And last, but not least. The most recent addition to my Baking book department. Plenty of scope for future weekend projects I think! Or even crop bakes. :D
