Morning everyone!
Blimey Monday has come around very quick.
I had hoped to have a card made for this week's prompt but I spent all of Saturday working on an urgent mini-album project then yesterday was at Ikea for an almost all-day outing, which took the most unexpected turn in the evening when my brother cut his hand badly while assembling one of the metal units purchased earlier in the day. So a quick trip to A&E was in order - just a couple of stitches needed and all was well. Phew! But didn't get home until gone 9 p.m. and well, I was too knackered to do anything other than eat my tea and relax.
I'll be hoping to catch up next week when my Staycation begins. :)
So onto this week's prompt.
In honour of the eventful Ikea trip, make a Nordic inspired card.
Here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
- Use the colours of any Nordic flags as inspiration
- Look to traditional Nordic colours as your theme (red, white, kraft)
- Feature folk art designs
- Use an item purchased from a certain Swedish store
- Include a greeting in one of the Nordic languages
- Get googling/searching Nordic style/inspiration on the Internet and Pinterest to see what gems you can find!
I already have a couple of ideas in mind, but the trick will be remembering when I get time to play catch-up. :)
ETA: Here at last is the card I've made - inspired by the Swedish flag of light blue and yellow. :)
Paper: MME
Cardstock: PTI
Impression plate and dies: PTI
Stamps: PTI
Pearl: Kaisercraft
Other: sewing machine, 3D foam
Can't go wrong with an aqua blue and yellow roses right? ;o)
