It's a mixed bag alright...

My Pinterest board hasn't been getting that much action lately, however I have just added this recipe to it:

You may wonder what all the fuss is about... until you look more closely at what Biscoff spread is exactly... well, I wasn't going to pin this last night when I read it on my blog roll as I thought I'd never see this Biscoff stuff in a UK supermarket (plus it sounded dangerous... like crack for sugar addicts - one smidge of this and you could be lost and end up in a sugar coma!).

Oh how wrong I was!

There it was in Sainsbury's today right next to the Nutella (an ingredient for a culinary experimentation this weekend) and it was even available in smooth or crunchy. I went with smooth as I wasn't quite sure what it had looked like in the recipe.

Now I have had to hide it in the very back of a cupboard so it is out of sight and I am not tempted to open it until I have time and inclination to make these crispie treats - definitely after next week's Christening as I need all the help I can get to get hide all the bumpy bits when zipped into my dress (even an £8 reduced to £2 magic body-sucker-inner-thing from Tesco has been drafted into operation flab concealment!).

I am hoping this weekend's dog sitting and walking will also assist in this goal and I will be able to sit down comfortably in church! Oh boy...

Yes, Miss Lola has come back for a weekend visit and I had plenty of walking planned for us - we have done our 40 minute walk this evening just before it got dark.

However, no crispie treats allowed this weekend or next! No, no, no, no...

I must have had a thing about box projects as I also really liked this one for a wintry setting:

Anyway, I'd best vamoose as it has suddenly gone very quiet here and Lola has disappeared...

I wonder what mischief to expect!
