Hm... I had a little spree in the embossing folder aisles of Joann's and Michaels while in Florida and I have vowed to make better use of my existing meagre collection and my new purchases on future cards.
And what better excuse than this week's DCM dare which comes from Keilly.
We've been tasked with the challenge of using embossing techniques on our cards this week.
Now, the dilemma was whether to go for dry embossing or heat embossing... I thought it only right to pick a new embossing folder to play with. But I have to confess I rather preferred the reverse debossed side for the card I was planning to make:
Embossing folder: Sizzix
Stamps and dies: PTI
Other: 3D foam
From the elements listed it's a very simple card. But this embossing folder really has a regency look to it and I thought was a perfect compliment for the Jane Austen set from PTI. I also stamped the background and used vintage edger inks so it all blended a bit more. And to finish off I scored a couple of lines on the greeting strip just to keep the embossed theme going. :)
Don't forget to check out the other amazing cards from the design team! Happy crafting!
beautiful and very elegant card :)

Your card is lovely! You always use such nice colours!!!
The embossing folder is really great too. I think I've never seen it before ... (well, that's no surprise as you hardly get any embossing folders round here)
