This week on the DCM blog the design team were very kindly supplied with some new dies by Xcut from Docrafts that are designed to allow you to create various different scenes to your heart's content on your papercrafting projects.
I got to play with the Nautical set:
And there was plenty of scope for some Pirate fun - arrrrgggghhh!
Here's what I made:
Dies: All from the Nautical set except the banner and "beach" which are MFT
Paper: My Little Shoebox
Stamps: My Cute Stamps
Other: Promarkers, vintage inkers
I added vintage inks to the peaks of the waves to bring them out more, and I rather like how the last wave is curled over onto the beach.
Just a shame I am almost out of this cloud paper - it's by far the best cloud paper in my arsenal as the proportions are just right for "scene" cards and it's such a lovely shade of sky too. :)
Anyway, if you've not already seen the fantastic cards from the rest of the design team you must check them out! There's also a chance to win your own set of Xcut scene dies - see the full details on the DCM blog here.
Happy crafting and good luck!
I can see why you love that paper! And I adore that kiss curl wave at the bottom. Fab card!

I love your card Nat, that little pirate is just so cute and he goes perfectly with the dies. I also really like the way you've layered the waves with the boat peeping out. I love the colours too!

Your card is great! How cool that you even got pirate stamps that go so well with the nautical scene.
