Well, here I am sharing this week's Christmas cracker card based on the same sketch posted on Monday.
I have to admit to struggling a bit creatively this week... things just weren't going my way and it was all getting rather frustrating. I hate it when you have an idea for something in the depths of your mind, but you just can't bring it to fruition and your brain refuses to communicate it to your hands which are doing all the sticking and clagging! Grrr!
Anyway, it's one more Christmas card for the pile, but unlikely to be a favourite for this year. ;o)
Paper: MME, Crate Paper, Making Memories
Sticker: Crate Paper
Stamps: PTI
Dies: Marianne, PTI
Other: Glassine envelope, button, wax cord, felt, glitter card, 3D foam
The greeting is inside the envelope and you just have to do as it says and pull the tab to open. :)
I really wish Crate would stop using the shiny coating on their stickers and go back to matt. Even archival ink and staz-on doesn't leave a clean impression as it smushes and bleeds on the coating. Personally I hate it, I used to love their matt stickers, but with this shiny surface you can't stamp onto it neatly and I had to cut a new strip of card to layer over it to cover up the poor results below. I'm sure they expect people to be just journaling on their stickers with a pen, but there are so many nice ways to incorporate stamped designs that complement the size and style of these stickers that it's a shame to hinder it.
< ---- End rant over for the day! ---->
Anyway, here's hoping I will be on better festive form next week! ;)
Beautiful card! I love how you used the envelope. I bought this die too but have a tough time getting it to cut through anything thicker than cardstock! Looks beautiful on your card.
