Well, I hadn't quite planned on starting on my Christmas cards just yet, but this week's Dare over on the DCM blog, set by the über-talented Jo Kill, was the perfect excuse.
Because this week we're visiting Seussville - aka the land of Dr Seuss.
And for my Dr Seuss inspiration I used a printable from the Seussville site that included that most grumbly of characters - the Grinch.
Paper: Crate Paper - Peppermint Collection
Chipboard elements: Crate Paper
Stickers: Crate Paper
Speech bubble: MME
Die: PTI
Punch: Marvy
Twine: The Ribbon Girl
Other: Stickles, Distress Stickles, 3D foam, Distress ink, white pen
There isn't much that didn't get Stickled on that card, but it all adds the frosty grinchness. I wanted to create a little Grinchy scene and the fireplace was the perfect starting point. It's hard to see in the photos but the little rug I punched out has 3D foam dots under it at the bottom to make it pop out so the floor looks less flat. Looks much more effective in real life.
Anyway, I much as I loved breaking into my lovely new Christmas stash, I am not sure that I'm quite read to go into full Christmas card mode... however it it stays this cold I may just have to rethink that. The Christmas playlist will soon be on!
So creative Nat, I love that you chose the Grinch (nearly did too but not quite ready for Christmas papers yet!). The little tree is like a snowglobe!

Wonderful card Nat, and a brilliant idea. I love all those little embellishments - think I might be adding some Crate supplies to my wish list!
