I'm hoping there's going to be a part 2 post later, as I have baking plans for today as soon as I get off this computer.
I am - fingers crossed - planning to make a chocolate-free traybake for today from my new Hummingbird Bakery book, Cake Days. It's a Marshmallow and Butterscotch traybake and it sounds and looks delish. If all goes to plan, I will blog again later with photos. :o)
But first up on the agenda it's Friday and time for another dare over on the DCM blog. This week Rein's dare is to create a card on the theme of "speaking professionally" - so a work/career related card.
Mine is a card for a book person I know:
Papers: Crate Paper
Die: Papertrey Ink
Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Buttons: Crate Paper
Rose: Wild Orchid Crafts
Other: 3D foam, sewing machine, embroidery floss
I have to say, when I flicked through this 6x6 pad of Emma's Shoppe papers from Crate I loved the sheet with all the book spines. Perfect for someone who works with books. But it's such a focal point that you can't add much more to it without covering up the best bits of the paper. Mind you I still have 3 sheets of this design in the pad - in some ways I wish that Crate had provided more designs from the collection but 2 of each design rather than the 4, as some of the ones I really liked from the big 12x12 sheets aren't in the 6x6 pad. But no one could ever say I don't have enough paper as is!
This is just the prettiest card - and so clever.
