Since the weather was less than lovely today and more snow fell, and it's still bitterly cold, I've been holed up in the house doing various little chores and catching up on TV online since my craft room is one of the warmest rooms at the moment. :o)
So whilst fiddling with a few things I decided to give the blog a new festive make-over for this year. The gingerbread family banner is on vacation, and a new Christmas banner is up for the duration. I'm very fond of that snowman in the snowglobe from one of Nacy Kubo's kits - I would love to see her bring out a new festive collection this year, but don't think it's going to happen...
After that I got updated on google reader, and saw that there was an excuse to dig out some vintage KI papers to give the current Ribbon Girl challenge a go. Not sure what is going on with my cardmaking at the moment but nothing is turning out quite like I'd like it to. :o\
Anyway, the current colour challenge is to use white, pink and lilac as your main colours:
Papers: KI Memories
Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Dies: Papertrey Ink
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Baker's twine: The Ribbon Girl
Ribbon: May Arts
Felt: Papertrey Ink
Other: 3D foam, Versamark ink pad, white ink pad, 3D glitter paint
It's difficult to see in the photo, but I Versamarked the pink tag with little snowflakes, and the lilac circle was first stamped in white with a large snowflake before I embossed and sanded it.
I did make another card for this challenge, but the Distress Stickles are STILL drying - some 6 hours later. But will see if I'm happy with the end result before positing it.
This is beautiful Nat! I love the tag - you've been shopping over the pond I see :)
Thanks for joining in with our challenge
