This week's DCM dare is all about masks.... well I came up with an idea I thought would be very cool to experiment with.
Basically I wanted to cut a fancy label die from thin paper, attach it with repo glue to my paper background and then stamp a big old background stamp over it so that when I peeled away the mask there would be a nice fancy label shape left blank.
Well, 4 attempts later and my poor BG background paper was destined for the bin - I just couldn't get the background stamp to stamp cleanly all around my mask... hence the need for a kick ass brayer I think!
Anyway, you get the gist right? Shame the execution wasn't quite all there. :oP
Stash was very basic for this one as I wanted to keep it all very simple.
Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Hero Arts (woodgrain background), Papertrey Ink (greeting)
Die for mask: Nestabilities
Other: Satin ribbon and Signo white pen
Anyway I hope you all have a nice weekend, looks like it'll be a working one for me but I really hope to finally start on my book proper! ;o)
I think it is a bit of a kick ass card anyway. Love the colour and the woodgrain. mmmmmmmmm

Lovely card - its hard even with a brayer to get this to work - I always cut my mask smaller - and nice to see another PTI addict :-) That felt is luscious.....
