From the weekend - they aren't anything special as I think I lost my creative mojo when it came to making my cards! LOL But here they are anyway.
Prompt: "You're so Sweet" - Inspiration: Lime green/pink, fruit, twine, polka dots, circular greeting.
Paper: October Afternoon, Papertrey Ink
Stamp: Papertrey Ink
Border punch: Fiskars
Die: Nestabilities
Other: Bling, ribbon
I am rather into cutting into flowers to create that fringed look, so expect to see this on a few more cards to come!
Next up...
Prompt: "Black & Pink I Do" - Inspiration: Flock texture, chipboard frame, white greeting, one design of patterned paper.
Paper: Making Memories
Stamp: Papertrey Ink
Chipboard: American Crafts
Other: Bling, satin ribbon
Very simple indeed, but at least I used up some of that 5th Avenue paper... shame it's not flocked like the teal/brown version.
This one I ended up changing slightly when I got home, it looks better now after a little tampering!
Prompt: "Be Yourself Flower" - Inspiration: Kraft card blank, stamped greeting, die-cut/punched flower, felt/fabric.
Paper: October Afternoon
Stamp: American Crafts
Flowers: Making Memories
Button: Making Memories
Other: Embroidery thread
Glad I remembered I had those Making Memories flowers to play with. :o)
Next I decided it was time to play with those new sets of My Cute Stamps!
Prompt: "Heartfelt Love" - Inspiration: Dry embossing, triple layering, ribbon/button combo, brown/pink.
Paper: Pink Paislee, Bo Bunny
Stamps: My Cute Stamps
Button: Making Memories
Other: Embroidery thread, satin ribbon
I do rather love this corrugated card, glad I didn't give away every sheet I had of it last year in a mad clear-out frenzy, but wish I'd held onto more of it now that it works perfectly as a card blank. LOL
And finally... this is very loosely based on the prompt!
Prompt: "Always and Forever" - Inspiration: Tone-on-tone colour scheme, bling shapes, square card, satin ribbon, elegant font.
Papers: My Mind's Eye
Stamps: My Cute Stamps, Papertrey Ink
I still haven't mastered the art of colouring in background sky with promarkers, but I was most impressed by Jane's ink colouring I saw over the weekend, but I cannot be tempted to invest in another colouring system, not when I still get tempted to try out Copics... Seriously I have enough promarkers to be happy with and do not need anything else but oh lord, they did look nice!
Anyway back to real life, I've still not unpacked from the weekend and am still needing to catch up with my cards, plus there is a pile of washing that's dried and needs putting away. Once I do that I may sit down and start pulling things out to make a new card and put them back in their proper home afterwards... or I could just open the box of magazines that Scrapbook Trends US has finally sent me... hopefully they will be for 2010 this time and not 2008... sheesh....
